28.) Orlando Magic: (14th in the Eastern Conference)

I love all the young pieces that the Magic have in place, but I don’t think that they will be able to put it all together this season. There will be moments where they are forces to be reckoned with because they’ll be able to out rebound some teams and be able to keep the score close in most of their games with second chance points. However, my issue is with who is going to be scoring for this team this season? They are going to have to be the definition of team basketball this season if they want a chance to succeed and keep Jacque Vaughn as their head coach or Orlando is going to have to move on.

Question: Will head coach Jacque Vaughn get another opportunity?

It’s clear to me, that the Magic have the wrong man for the job in Orlando this season. It’s not because Vaughn is doing a bad job, well it’s that too, but it’s more because of the head coaches currently on the market. Orlando is going to be an attractive job next offseason, with their high pick and solid young core in place. The Magic might hit the lottery and get Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, or maybe even  P.J. Carlesimo. Orlando may not have a shot at him but Virginia Commonwealth’s Shaka Smart, should also be considered for the job. No hard feelings Vaughn, it’s just I’m not sure if you’re the right man for the job.
