Most Improved Player (MIP) – Deron Williams
This is a complete shot in the dark award prediction because so many factors play into it. However, we saw some glimpses from Deron Williams last season that reminded us of old Deron Williams. It’s clear to me that the offense that Jason Kidd ran, kind of limited the upside of Deron Williams, especially with all the stars there last season. Now they got rid of Paul Pierce and are actually getting back their best player in Brook Lopez. Williams has a chance to be a 20 points per game- 10 assists per game guy this season. I think the Nets are going to be a lot better than people expect, as I think that they only have gotten better from last year.
