Welcome back Pippen Peoples to another episode of Chicago Bulls Rumors! I am your esteemed host, Ronald Agers. Chicago Bulls Rumors has become the hottest franchise segment on Pippen Ain’t Easy, your best choice for Chicago Bulls news, previews and reviews. This has become a fact because of the loyal fan base of the Chicago Bulls and the Pippen Peoples, the most knowledgeable Bulls fans in the NBA. We are coming down to the wire until training camp and the rumor mill will get more and more active as the weeks go by. That’s why everyone needs to keep logging on to  Pippen Ain’t Easy for the most in-depth analysis and opinion on what the  player brings to the table and if the Bulls need it.

The Pippen Peoples movement is growing day by day, so it’s important to explain the Chicago Bulls Rumors segment. About 85-90 percent of these Chicago Bulls rumors are FALSE! There are probably 76,598 Chicago Bulls rumors in a month. None of these rumors will be leaked from the Chicago Bulls front office. Most of these rumors come from other players and teams.

Remember Leandro Barbosa? He used one of the Chicago Bulls rumors and an off night by the backcourt of Team USA in Pool play of the FIBA World Cup to parlay himself into a one year skid row deal with the Golden State Warriors.

How about Elton Brand? He used some of the Chicago Bulls rumors to get him a one year deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Oh teams do the same thing. Recently, the Minnesota Timberwolves are trying to use the Chicago Bulls to unload the contract of Kevin Martin. For more information about this rumor, check it out on the Pippen Ain’t Easy page.

As you can see the Chicago Bulls rumors run rampant throughout NBA circles. That’s where Pippen Ain’t Easy comes in. The staff of Pippen Ain’t Easy are working hard boiling these rumors down to two scenarios, one, is the rumor even worth listening to and if he will be a good fit.

The star if this episode of Chicago Bulls Rumors is…

Ryan Hollins.

When in comes to Ryan Hollins I have only one thing to say…

BOY! You can’t coach seven feet!

Ryan Hollins is the ultimate example of a journeyman. Since he was drafted in the second round (50th pick overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets). He has the distinction of being the 100th UCLA player selected in the NBA Draft.

Since then Hollins’ frequent flyer miles has gone through the roof.

After spending a couple of years in Charlotte, Ryan Hollins has spent time in Dallas, Minnesota, Cleveland and most recently the Los Angeles Clippers.

Hollins spent last year being the caddy to DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin while getting on SportsCenter once a week getting lobs from Chris Paul in a “Lob City” highlight. Hollins averaged 2.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and less than a block (from a seven footer???) in 7.9 minutes of action last year. He shot 73.6% from the field and shot 62.5% from the line. I realize that the field goal percentage is very high but don’t be fooled. He averaged just over one shot a game. Alley oops anyone?

The numbers for Ryan Hollins’ career is not much better. Hollins averages 3.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and less than a block (I repeat…from a seven footer????) while shooting 57.6% from the field while connecting on 62.5% from the line.

With numbers like these, you would wonder (I know that I am) why anyone would want this guy.

Luckily Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors can help me and probably every NBA fan on the planet understand  why the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat and the Sacramento Kings would want to sign a guy that makes JaVale McGee look like a Hall of Famer. Based on what I see there is not real fit for any of these teams.

"“It’s a distinct possibility that Hollins is better suited to sign after the season begins, when a team might need added depth at center because of injuries.”"

That would make sense. Joakim Noah is coming off offseason surgery of his knee and Pau Gasol is not getting any younger. Hollins could be an insurance policy for the frontline in case something goes wrong. Furthermore Hollins could be used in the lineup to give either Noah and Gasol the night off during those back to back nights.

More from Myron on these franchises possible agendas to sign Hollins.

"“…I suspect he’ll sign with a team that has playoff aspirations. He’s not the sort of player that a franchise focused on the future would want, but for a  club that can’t afford too many mistakes this year, he’d fit right in.”"

Not with this squad he won’t.

The Chicago Bulls do not need this guy. There’s a reason why Hollins has gone through so many teams in his career. He doesn’t work hard.

I know what you are thinking. How would you know?

It’s easy if you take a close look at the numbers. What seven footer averages two rebounds a game? How about one rebound last year? Think about  it Pippen Peoples, you can get a rebound from your couch watching the game. How about those blocks? What seven footer do you know averages less than a block for an entire career? That tells  me he’s a player that  can’t play position defense but depends on his athletic ability to  get by. This just in to Pippen Ain’t Easy, it’s has not worked so far.

Tom Thibodeau would be ready to cut him in a week. I wouldn’t blame him.
