Well Pippen Peoples welcome to another episode of Chicago Bulls Rumors! Pippen Ain’t Easy’s longest and most successful segment on the website. I mean now that the Legion of Booz had to close its doors (emotional walls Ronald, emotional walls!) Okay now I’m back. The latest rumor of the millions and millions of Chicago Bulls rumors that float around the NBA.

The star of this episode of Chicago Bulls rumors is…

Nazr Mohammed.

Boy I never knew the phrase “You can’t coach seven feet” until now. It seems that the Miami Heat have reached out to Nazr Mohammed as they look to replace Greg Oden on their roster (also read…sit on the bench in a suit, shut up and look at your DNP-CD collection) to shore up some defensive deficiencies at the center position.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald,, Mohammed met with the team on Thursday. Check out the knowledge Jackson had to say about Mohammed, who has been in the league since the Bill Clinton administration.

"The Heat, looking to add another veteran backup center, summoned 6-11 Nazr Mohammed, 34, for a workout and meeting with team executives on Thursday. Mohammed, who has career averages of 5.9 points and 4.8 rebounds, played in 80 games for the Bulls last season."

Well the Chicago Bulls have been used again for free agents to get their name in the paper to get potential gigs. If you think I’m kidding, take a look at this list…

Shawn Marion

Signed a free agent deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Leandro Barbosa

Signed a free agent deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Elton Brand

Working on a deal to resign with the Atlanta Hawks.

Finally we can’t forget Carmelo Anthony.

Re-signed with the New York Knicks.

As you can see, this deal based on what we have seen lately probably will go through. Mohammed fits the model that the Heat has used since the Big 3 era began years ago, an experienced player with declining skills that is willing to travel, practice with the team and keep the lay up lines even when they are activated. Oh did I forget for the veteran’s minimum? Well at least Nazr is lucky if he signs, he doesn’t have to kiss LeBron James’ behind all year-long. This is a good job if you can get it.

I know some of you are thinking…so? Well take a closer look. If Mohammed is signed, it’s obvious the Miami Heat, who by the way the Bulls need to pay attention to, is bulking up their squad for another playoff run.

While a contract has not been finalized, it seems that the Miami Heat paid attention to Nazr Mohammed putting LeBron James on the news by pushing him on the floor in the United Center back in 2013. Man I love Pat Riley.

Everyone seems to be paying attention to Cleveland and the moves that they are doing, don’t forget about Miami. This move with Mohammed along with the signing of Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger is showing an evolution of the Heat. They are loading up players that will try to rough up LeBron James.

Think about the Pat Riley led Knicks of the 90’s.

Gone are the days of the high flying act that got them on SportsCenter every night. Now the Heat are going to grind out some games and get physical. They plan to lay the wood and drop the hammer…HARD!

If they have no issues with messing with the “Fresh Prince of Cleveland” (believe me Pat Riley won’t sign you if you do) they have no problems going after Derrick Rose.

Just a thought.

The way things are going with all of these players leaving town, if this keeps up we will all be looking like Mike Dunleavy…
