3. Bench Mob’s Depth in a SHort Season
The NBA season will be a grind unlike any other before. With the condensed schedule and the intense back-to-backs teams will be pushed to their limits and their depth will be tried again and again. Thankfully, the Bulls proved they have one of if not the best benches in the NBA last year with massive production from The Bench Mob. Guys like C.J. Watson, Taj Gibson, Kyle Korver, Omer Asik and Ronnie Brewer all cam off the bench to improve this team. It faltered in the playoffs but during the season and that’s what will have to happen in 2011. The Bulls don’t have three days off until March and have an intense nine game road trip at the end of January/beginning of February that sees them go all up and down the East Coast and even to Milwaukee with no more then one day in between games. Chicago also has a back-tp-back-to-back in January that thankful has them travel once, but it is three games in a row. The starters will run out of gas during the season and it will be up to the already tried and true Bench Mob to keep things going. Thankfully for the Bulls they have a deep bench fills of multiple rotations that should keep them more fresh then most of the squads they will see this year.
