2. Jimmy Butler’s Rookie Campaign
The Bulls didn’t have a whole lot to grasp for in this year’s draft but the guy they got is going to instantly make an impact. It’s going to be the classic case of a wealth of talent and the good getting better. The Bulls drafted Marquette combo guard Jimmy Butler at the end of the first round and he’s the perfect fit for the Bulls. In a draft that saw suh talents like Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, Jimmer Fredette, and Brandon Knight among others, the Bulls struck gold with Butler where they got him. Butler was a four year starter at Marquette and he knows how to learn a system. With a decent frame Butler can come in and make waves in this rough and tough Tom Thibodeau defense. He also brings something that the Buls have been lacking and that’s offense. Butler came in during the first preseason game and he hit all of his field goals an made two of his four free throws. Having Butler ready to start means that the Bulls already deep bench got even deeper. Plus with his intelligence, his frame and offensive potential he can be a real impact with whatever minutes he sees this year.
