6. Washington Wizards — Kawhi Leonard/ SF, San Diego St.
Washington is really in a pickle here at six. There is still a lot of talent out there at this point, but they don’t have a lot of positions that they want to uproot. The one position that sticks out in their charts is the small forward spot where Maurice Evans is past his prime and doesn’t really fit the rebuilding mold. Washington is in a position where they still have a few years of leeway left to under achieve while they build up their young players. Taking Leonard here fills the small forward spot for the future and will allow a young group to grow together and become a solid unit. If Vesely is available, the Wizards might flinch at him, but Leonard is really thee only option for the Wizards unless someone is willing to trade up into the six slot or if someone falls to them.
