2) Derrick Rose emerges as a 4th Quarter Closer

There have been so many times in the past where the Bulls have been down with four or five minutes left in a game and they were pretty much down and out. It has been a frustrating part of being a Bulls fan for the longest time and people were getting very tired of this old trick.

Enter: Derrick Rose.

The story now is, there have been so many times the Bulls have been down in the fourth quarter with four or five minutes left and Derrick Rose mounted a comeback and bailed Chicago out. Rose is dynamite in the fourth quarter and even when the Bulls are up he always seems to explode. See December 26th against the Pistons; Rose herriad 15 points going into the fourth quarter and managed to finish with 20-plus points and aided an overtime win. Rose’s ability to close the fourth quarter or help mount a comeback is so important to the Bulls it’s insane. He is literally the pulse of the team in the late quarters and everyone knows it.

When he comes back into the game int the fourth quarter, it’s the same as seeing a shutdown closer come in during the ninth inning of a baseball game. Rose is to Chicago what Mariano Rivera is to the New York Yankees. He’s not always perfect and him entering the game doesn’t guarantee a victory, but it definitely makes it really hard to lose.
