Where former members of the Chicago Bulls core are at now?

Denzel Valentine, SG/SF

One of the more surprising players that the Bulls re-signed off of the restricted free agent market last offseason was the 6-foot-4 and 220 pound former Michigan State Spartans shooting guard/wing Denzel Valentine. The 27-year-old fifth-year wing was decent off the bench for the Bulls out of the gates during the 2020-21 campaign.

But it didn’t take long for the Bulls’ former lottery pick from the 2016 draft class to return to his usual ways of inconsistent production and efficiency. Valentine is set to hit the unrestricted free agent market for the first time in his career this offseason. There’s no telling yet if Karnisovas and the Bulls plan to bring him back again.

Coby White, PG

The most recent draftee of the Bulls on this list (considering that it is comprised of those picked up by the GarPax front office pairing), is the former North Carolina Tar Heels second-year point guard Coby White. This 21-year-old North Carolina native did have a second consecutive season where he finished up strong down the stretch.

A lot of the same inconsistencies did plague White in his sophomore campaign that were present during his rookie season. He also posted a nearly identical player efficiency rating and box plus/minus rating this season that he did last.

There should be another chance to hold a significant role in the rotation moving forward for White. Karnisovas and the Bulls don’t look to be giving up on the development of White anytime in the near future.
