What could a Malcolm Brogdon to the Chicago Bulls trade look like?
This first trade scenario essentially has the Bulls betting on themselves. With adding Brogdon to the team, it is met with the intention of making the playoffs now. Brogdon is 28 years old and entering the prime of his career. And while he does not completely mesh with the timeline of the young core in Chicago, he can still be a valuable contributor for many years.
In return, the Bulls would be parting ways with Satoranský, a serviceable backup guard to any playoff team, and Felicio to match salaries. But the main piece is the 2021 first round pick. With potentially such a loaded draft class coming in this summer, the Bulls would have to feel very confident in their abilities to climb up the East standings with Brogdon.
Otherwise losing that pick to a team right next to them in the standings could come back to bite them if it falls in the lottery.
