1. Coby White, Point Guard
What is mainly working in favor of the Bulls in terms of the trade value that the final name on this list brings to the table during the 2020 offseason is how he finished out the 2019-20 regular season prior to the hiatus. Former North Carolina Tar Heels rookie 6-foot-5 and 185 pound point guard Coby White had a tremendous finish to his first year in the NBA.
The overall per game stats and advanced metrics for White during his rookie season weren’t impressive at all. But the hot streak he caught in the final month and a half about was truly amazing, and could be something that he carries into his second season in the league. White took the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month honors back to the Windy City to cap his first year in the NBA.
White started in just one game during his rookie season, which was also the last contest of the year for this team. He also played in every single one of the Bulls 65 regular season games during the 2019-20 campaign. White averaged 13.2 points per game, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks. He did that while shooting 39.4 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the arc, and 79.1 percent from the free-throw line.
That amounted to White posting a -2.8 box plus/minus rating, -0.3 value over replacement player rating, .026 win shares per 48 minutes, 0.9 total win shares, a 11.9 player efficiency rating, and a 50.6 true shooting percentage. Considering that White is just about to enter his second season in the NBA and showed as much upside as he did at the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign, his trade value is at an all-time high for his career to date entering this offseason.
