1. Next steps for the young core
What every Chicago Bulls fan will be watching heading into the coming season and Training Camp is the development of this young and talented roster as a whole. GarPax added White to the young core in the NBA Draft which could give this group yet another piece it can utilize to work toward achieving contender status.
The other parts of the developing young core for the Bulls that need to make more strides this year are shooting guard Zach LaVine, power forward Lauri Markkanen, and Carter Jr. You can also validly add former Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. to this young core of players that could guide this team to the playoffs this season.
LaVine and Markkanen combined for 5.3 win shares for the Bulls last season. Each took part in their own offseason workouts away from the Advocate Center, so we will see the results before too long.
They will both be vying for their first career All-Star selections in February 2020 since the entire weekend will be hosted at the United Center in Chicago. All-Star Weekend could see multiple Bulls players competing in the festivities.
Other key young players for the Bulls that could make significant strides this season includes rookie center Daniel Gafford, shooting guard Denzel Valentine, center Luke Kornet, and rookie shooting guard/wing Adam Mokoka.
