It’s getting to be about the time for a team like the Chicago Bulls to look ahead to what the summer has to offer with the regular season winding down.

With the summer in sports brings the drama of the NBA Draft and the open range that is the free agent market. This summer will be especially hectic in the NBA with such a talented class of prospects coming out for this draft and a deep pool of free agent targets. A team like the Chicago Bulls that has a lot of cap room to work with and some rebuilding left to do with the roster could make for some big shakeups in the off-season.

Once free agency arrives, we’ll know what the Chicago Bulls front office is looking to do for the future direction of the locker room and coaching staff. If the Chicago Bulls do pull the trigger in free agency to acquire a superstar, the rebuild could move faster than expected. But, that might not be the best move for this franchise at the moment.

The way the Chicago Bulls are playing of late inspires confidence that a huge retooling of the roster won’t be needed to keep moving in the right direction for the 2019-20 season. And the fact that the Bulls have two first round picks in the 2019 NBA Draft makes for a scenario where some roster holes could be filled and the rotation could round out nicely all in one summer.

Free agency is going to be a pivotal sequence for the Chicago Bulls this year. Finding the right pieces to the puzzle that can help some of the young talent continue to develop and excel along with possibly moving to the point of playoff contention in the Eastern Conference are tasks set for free agency.

Here’s an early look into the three best targets for the Chicago Bulls to key in on for free agency 2019.
