Pippen Ain’t Easy Roundtable: Playoffs, draft picks, front office and food
Question No. 5: OK, enough about basketball. What’s the best fast food joint in America?
DC: In-N-Out. Animal Style. No doubt.
MF: Calling this question tough is an understatement. Culver’s is amazing. However, so is Steak ‘n Shake, which takes my pick. Now, before you call me a lunatic, hear me out (or read, whatever). Steak ‘n Shake possesses a menu with convenient prices for everyone. Come on now, a steakburger and fries meal for $4? This can’t be beaten. Now, I don’t go to Steak ‘n Shake as much as I should, or any other fast food joint, but let me say this – I give them the edge over In-N-Out Burger (mic dropped).
DB: Portillo’s is the best fast food place in all of the land. Located mainly in Illinois, Portillo’s has the most delicious, delectable Italian beef you can get. How about a Chicago-style hot dog or a chili cheese dog (you’ll end up getting more than one, though)? Throw in a chocolate shake and you got yourself a killer meal for $10 or less.
MP: In-N-Out Burger. I’ve been to the West Coast once and had the privilege of trying an In-N-Out Burger and it was absolutely delicious. Plus I got a cool hat for ordering. I like cool hats.

PS: The best fast food place is McDonald’s and you know it’s McDonald’s. You’ve been there more than any other place and when you need to pick a place on the spot, it’s the one that comes up. The burgers are all great. The ice cream is to die for whether you are just getting a cone or really feeling yourself and getting a McFlurry. Oh, and you can put Oreos in your ice cream. Like, what? Is this heaven? Oh and most importantly, THE BEST FRIES IN THE DAMN WORLD. You don’t want to admit McDonald’s is your favorite, but deep in your heart, you know its true.
