Kentucky big man Bam Adebayo

Since I really covet mobile players like Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and there is no way for the Bulls to trade for him, another option for the Sacramento pick the Bulls own if it becomes available is to draft someone like the Greek Freak.

Next: Fred Hoiberg mentions that Taj Gibson is getting practice minutes at center

That may be Kentucky power forward Bam Adebayo, a 6-10″ big man favorably compared with Shawn Kemp. The big and athletic power forward can put the ball on the floor like a guard, defend the rim and dominate the post.

Adebayo is another one-and-done college prospect, whose physical and athletic attributes are too good to pass up given that his game is already NBA-ready. Many NBA teams are already stocking up on two bigs after seeing the success of pairs like Oklahoma City’s Steven Adams and Enes Kanter had against the best team in the league in the Golden State Warriors. The Bulls might go the same route and get the best low post, bang-’em-up body smasher in the draft with their Sacramento pick if he’s still available.

Adebayo is only 19 and still growing, his size moves people around in the paint.  Like Miles Bridges, Adebayo loves to be physical around the rim and can finish strong amidst contact.  In high school, he dominated the offensive glass and hopes to clean the glass in his one-and-done college stint with Kentucky.

Adebayo is a fantastic perimeter defender too aside from being a monster shot-blocker, which makes him fit perfectly with the Bulls if they wish to play Bobby Portis more as a scoring big from the perimeter. If possible, Gar Forman should trade both Bulls 2017 first-rounders for him (if they’re able to get them both)

Enjoy the preview of the new kids on the block. These guys may be the replacements for either Rondo or Wade if both decide to move on next season.
