Mo Williams vs. Aaron Brooks

Mo Williams was brought in to back up Kyrie Irving, but will most likely be starting in his place until Irving returns from offseason knee surgery. Williams can score the basketball and could prove to be a great pick-up in his return to Cleveland. Just last season, Williams dropped 52 points in a regular season game against Indiana.

Brooks can also score, but that’s about it. Let’s look at their stats from last year:

Williams – PPG (14.2) APG (6.2) RPG (2.6)

Brooks – PPG (11.6) APG (3.2) RPG (2.0)

Williams didn’t make the playoffs with Minnesota and Brooks seemingly didn’t make the playoffs with Chicago. Brooks averaged 3.8 points and 0.8 assists in Chicago’s series against Cleveland.

The advantage here goes to Mo Williams as Brooks is too small to play defense and continues to struggle in physical games. Up until this point, both teams look to be rather close in talent and actually match up well with one another. These next two comparisons will be what makes or breaks the Bulls this upcoming season.
