2. The adidas War: Rose vs. Lillard
At this point of the year last season, that signature game from Derrick Rose was lacking.
Rose was back and playing again — up until this game, he had played in eight straight for the first time in a long time. But, something was still missing.
The first “HE’S BACK!” game since returning from major (and minor injuries) during the young season. That game came against fellow adidas star Damian Lillard, former Bulls draft pick LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trail Blazers.
In a 115-106 Bulls victory, Rose was sensational, scoring 31 points on 14-of-24 shooting, and dished out five assists. Lillard was outstanding himself, scoring 35 points, including a 7-of-11 shooting exhibition from deep, but in the end, it was too much Rose for Portland to handle.
