Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose Hot…Bulls Not 3 Lessons
By Ronald Agers
Boy…the Chicago Bulls bench stink!
We’re going to let Taj Gibson slide because he could have played like Derrick Rose and it wouldn’t have mattered. He finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Taj was Taj, we’ll leave it at that.
Now for his co-horts.
Nikola Mirotic
Nikola scored seven points on an anemic 1-of-6 shooting. Here’s what’s worse. Cavs announcer Austin Carr already has Mirotic’s go to move down pat. He loves to go his left. Mirotic had better start adding aspects to his game. Granted he has three point ability, but all teams have to do is run him off the line. Now when teams figure out what Carr did in two minutes of game action, it doesn’t bode well for Mirotic going forward.
Tony Snell
Seven points on 3-of-11 shooting. It’s like the Tony Snell in last year’s playoffs. It’s a real shame to see a player lose his confidence. Snell is that guy right now.
Aaron Brooks
He scored nine points on 4-of-10 shooting. But when Rose sat down and Aaron Brooks came a calling in the third quarter, the game was over because Irving used Brooks as target practice. Brooks was torched. Plus the Bulls offensive set was horrendous when he was in the game. As much as I can’t stand Kirk Hinrich, Brooks has not shown the ability to run the offense. Most of the time, Brooks is looking for his own shot. Sometimes it does help like it did in the first half. Sometimes it doesn’t, like in the second half.
Speaking of Kirk Hinrich…
