The Iowa Energy beat the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 119-111 and won the NBDL Finals! The Energy were led by Stefhon Hannah who had 31 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Michael Haynes also came up big for the Energy, scoring 21 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Don’t forget about Stanley Robinson who recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The game was close throughout, with both teams showing why they had made it this far. In the end though, the Energy cruised to the 8 point victory. Jerel McNeal scored 29 points and also had 11 assists and 10 rebounds for the Vipers. Iowa finished the game with 50 points in the paint.

Congrats to the Iowa Energy on a great season. I started covering them a few months back here at Pippen Ain’t Easy and they are such a fun team to watch. Shout out to Curtis Stinson who had a HUGE season and was named the regular season MVP.
