Gibson has been out since spraining his knee on Feb. 24 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and presumably will return in the coming weeks, although no time table has been given for his return.

Hinrich apparently has been in a walking boot for the last week, and god only knows when he might be back. He’ll probably come back eventually, followed shortly thereafter by a stint on the bench. It is what it is, at this point.

Since it’s been a foregone conclusion that Rip Hamilton will be gone as of this summer, it might be best for everyone involved to pull the plug now. He’s missed more than a week with back spasms, and didn’t even make the trip out west with the team this week. What’s more, his replacement, Marco Belinelli, plays significantly better when starting and Rip has really struggled since injuring himself for the first time this season in December. It’s really not even worth having him come back at this point.

Mar 3, 2013; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert (55) battles for rebounding position with Chicago Bulls forward Carlos Boozer (5) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The good news is twofold. First, as we told you yesterday, Derrick Rose has been listed as day-to-day by Tom Thibodeau. That really could mean anything, knowing Thibs, but still. The other bit of good news is that Carlos Boozer will in fact be in the lineup. It was unclear whether he would be after this tweet from CSN Chicago’s Aggrey Sam:

Carlos wasn’t at practice, didn’t travel to San Antonio with the team.

— Aggrey Sam (@CSNBullsInsider) March 5, 2013

However, about 25 minutes later, he followed it up with this:

Carlos isn’t in San Antonio because of a personal matter, but he’ll be back tomorrow, per Bulls PR.

— Aggrey Sam (@CSNBullsInsider) March 5, 2013

The Bulls still will need some luck to beat the Spurs, of course. A mostly-healthy Bulls team lost at home to a Spurs team resting its three best players only one month ago, so it’s hard to look at a depleted Bulls team going on the road to a fully healthy Spurs team and think it’s going to end well for them.

Anyway, the starting five figures to be the same as it was on Sunday, with Robinson, Marco Belinelli, Luol Deng, Boozer and Joakim Noah taking the floor together. It certainly could be a lot worse. And the Bulls are very good on the road, so we’ll see.
