The first annual Pippen Ain’t Easy Best Actress award.

This award is given to the one player who put on the best performance of the year in the field of acting on the court. We’ve all seen this before, a player taking a dive for a foul or a quick timeout in a pressure situation during the end of a game. Or in the playoffs to induce a suspension (see Paul Pierce’s antics in last year’s finals). We are prepared to give away this year’s award to the unanimous winner. This player put on a performance for the ages; it has been hailed as one of the finest comedic performances in at least five years.

And the Oscar for Best Worst Actress goes to…

Chris Bosh for his performance Thursday night against Carlos Boozer.

Boozer twisted and his elbows came up by Bosh’s face. Bosh took this opportunity to take a dive and draw a foul. The sad part is it worked, he drew the offensive foul. But, as the fans at the United Center so clearly saw given their loud disapproval of the call upon replay,  Bosh so clearly took a dive that it was the cherry on top of his absolutely disgusting night on the court. Bosh made one shot all night and is forever going to have to live down his blatant dive.

I don’t. They already had the best record anyway. Does it make them better? Yes. More playoff ready? Yes. But the Bulls have to deal with their own shortcomings before they get concerned about the Cavs.

Another rumor making the rounds is Chris Bosh to the Bulls. Bosh has publicly stated he plans to become a free agent but the latest rumor has him wanting to go to the Heat.

The Heat have Michael Beasley to offer. The Bulls have Tyrus Thomas and some other pieces, including their 2 draft picks. If I’m the Raps, I surely don’t wait until the deadline to deal Bosh. He could inexplicably play poorly — or even worse — get injured. So if I’m the Bulls I pursue this as hard and as quickly as possible.

Bleacher Report has this rumor: Bosh to the Bulls for Tyrus, Gordon (S & T) and the 2 picks. Toronto also has the 9th overall pick. This would allow them to retool very quickly. The Bulls then would be without any picks in the draft, but I would do it. (more…)
