The Chicago Bulls headed to their home away from home, Milwaukee, to play the Bucks in a Central Division showdown.

After an ugly loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at the United Center, the Bulls headed to their other home arena, the BMO Harris Bradley Center to play the Milwaukee Bucks.

It was a key game in Chicago’s quest for the playoffs and Milwaukee was not only looking to play spoiler, but sweep the season series. The Bucks have been hot lately, posting a 11-3 record in March coming into Sunday’s game against the Bulls.

Meanwhile, the Bulls have been the Bulls. March has been rough for Chicago, who lost five consecutive games earlier in the month and now have to scrap to make the playoffs.

Not only does the present look better for Milwaukee than Chicago, so does the future.

That wasn’t on display Sunday however, as the Bulls defeated the Bucks 109-94. Powered by their starters, Chicago handled Milwaukee and won an important game.

Chicago’s starters combined for 94 of the team’s 109 points and were rolling on all cylinders, with Nikola Mirotic drilling 3s, Rajon Rondo doing good Rajon Rondo things and Jimmy Butler setting a career high with 14 assists.

If these Bulls come out to play the rest of the season, the team just might make the playoffs. And while the fans may be tiring of the on-court product, as long as the team makes the playoffs management doesn’t seem to care.

Now let’s get to some takeaways.
