The Chicago Bulls faced off against the Memphis Grizzlies tonight and lost in a close game. The Bulls were led by Tony Snell and Pau Gasol, but Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies managed to pull away in the final moments, winning 101-91. Chicago came back to take the lead after being down 13 points in the fourth quarter, but they ended up losing their third straight game. Here are post-game grades for each player on the Bulls’ roster:

AARON BROOKS. B+. <br /><em>Stat Line: 15 points, 6-14 from the field, 4 rebounds, 4 assists</em><p>It was a solid game for <strong>Aaron Brooks</strong>, who once again filled in for the injured <strong><a href=. PG. Chicago Bulls

SG. Chicago Bulls. TONY SNELL. A. <p><em>Stat Line: 21 points, 5-7 from beyond the arc, 7-13 from the field, 3 rebounds, 2 steals</em></p><p><strong>Tony Snell</strong> was dominant in tonight’s game. The second-year forward out of New Mexico has been on a roll lately, and Snell has continued to get better over time. Snell was hitting his shots from everywhere, and he was the biggest factor of the Bulls’ 13 point comeback to take the lead in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Snell’s great performance was not enough to give the Bulls the W, but it’s great that the young man is getting better and better as the season progresses.</p>

D+. <br /><em>Stat Line: 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2-7 from the field, 1-6 from beyond the arc</em><p>Dunleavy has been on a cold spell ever since coming back from an ankle injury in February. He is supposed to be the Bulls’ best three-point shooter, but he shot just 1-6 from beyond the arc in the game. He wasn’t doing too much on the offensive end, which is usually where he makes things happen. It’s always important to value his simple presence on the court and the spacing he provides, but tonight that was overshadowed by his awful shooting.<br /></p>. SF. Chicago Bulls. MIKE DUNLEAVY JR

B+. <br /><em>Stat Line: 13 points, 6-14 from the field, 11 rebounds, 4 assists</em><p>Gasol played well in tonight’s game on offense, but he was having a lot of trouble on the defensive end. Gasol and <strong></strong><strong><a href=. PF. Chicago Bulls. PAU GASOL

B-. <p><em>Stat Line: 1-4 from the field, 3 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists</em></p><p>Noah is only getting better as the season progresses, and he could start to become a consistent triple-double machine… if he could improve his scoring. The only part of Noah’s game where consistency is still a problem is his scoring. In his last four games, Noah has scored just 15 points, which isn’t enough when Chicago’s two best offensive players are out with injury. Either way, Noah’s energy, hustle, rebounding and passing were all great tonight, and he continues to prove that he is the heart and soul of the Bulls.<br /></p>. PF. Chicago Bulls. JOAKIM NOAH

Conclusion

It was a tough loss for Chicago. They came back after being down 13 points in the fourth quarter, but managed to blow away their lead in the final few minutes. This marked the third straight loss for the Bulls, something that rarely happens under coach Thibs. The loss further proved that in order to make a deep run in the playoffs, Chicago needs the entire roster healthy: Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson. There is hope that all three players return from injury within the next few weeks (Gibson is currently day to day), and if that’s the case, it will help the Bulls tremendously. It’s important that Chicago keeps at least the third seed in order to have a mediocre opponent in the first round. If they fall to the fourth or fifth seed, they’ll most likely end up playing the Wizards/Raptors, which would be a real challenge to start the postseason.
