Last week, it was announced Butler was selected to the Select Team, who will train with the USA Men’s National Team this week in Las Vegas in preparation for the FIBA World Cup. Recently, Kevin Love withdrew from the Men’s National Team, reportedly because of ongoing trade talks that leave his future uncertain. However, Comcast SportsNet Chicago’s Mark Schanowski assured Butler’s unavailability isn’t also related to trade talks.
