Chicago Bulls point guard and MVP Derrick Rose made the 2014 Forbes 30 under 30: The Best In Sports list. Coming in at #22, Rose still managed to make the list despite being sidelined yet again with another season-stealing injury (torn medial right meniscus).

A second injury has knocked him out for another year, which may hinder future influence. But for now he’s still the guy Adidas is all-in with.

So far, Rose is beating Dan Bernstein (CBS Chicago Columnist/ the one who said those rude things about Rose that I shall not repeat!) Between Rose ranking 3rd in NBA jersey sales  and still getting high votes for the All-Star game it seems to me like Rose has one that battle (and Bernstein’s opinion of him should roll right off his shoulders)! Oh yeah and he’s still ranks high on major sports lists (thanks to the adidas contract)! In case you haven’t been keeping score (yes, I’m really serious about this):

Bernstein: 0

Rose: 3 Ding, Ding, Ding!!! I believe we have a winner. By a total knockout punch, Rose prevails!

This year tennis superstar Maria Sharapova topped the list.
