Based on how this (injury stricken) NBA season has been going so far, the Chicago Bulls‘ chances of making the playoffs are pretty high. Especially if you consider how horrible the Eastern Conference has been! Let’s just say if I were to start a team and it be out in the East in the NBA, right now it would we would make the top 5 haha!! Bulls power forward Taj Gibson (who by the way deserves to be in the starting lineup) is very much aware of the situation out in the East and wasn’t afraid to put his team in the playoff mix:
Because the East is terrible, man, look at it,’’ Gibson said. “Then look at what we’ve done against the two top teams [Pacers and Heat]in the East. We’ve played them as tough as anyone, so we feel like there’s no doubt we can get into the playoffs.
“Once we get there, I mean, we are no strangers to the playoffs. We know how to win games on that stage, in hostile environments. We just have to figure things out now in this regular season.

Gibson makes a very solid point there! There’s not denying the fact that the Bulls team have tested playoff experience in one of the most important stages in the NBA. When you look at a team like the Portland Trailblazers for example who are now at the top of the Western Conference. They may be on fire right now, but when the time comes around for the playoffs that hot streak may just come to an end (i’m just being honest here)! Portland just hasn’t gotten deep enough and isn’t playoff tested, having not even made the top 8 last season. Teams have proven in the past that the bright lights of the playoffs can prove to be too much and cause some stage fright. The Bulls in the post Michael Jordan era have gone as far the Eastern Conference Finals with Derrick Rose leading the way. And even in the past 2 seasons with Rose going through his injury setbacks, the Bulls still found their way in the playoffs still battling and fighting for those wins.
It’s gonna be no different this season, as the Bulls will fight their way into a playoff position (with help from their fellow eastern conference teams)!
