Chicago Bulls team looking thin, need more players to compete

Right now the Chicago Bulls are down to only 10 active players on their roster. No seriously! Let’s see, there’s Luol Deng, Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Kirk Hinrich, Mike Dunleavy, Nazr Mohammed, Marquis Teague, Erik Murphy, and Tony Snell. Yep, that looks like 10 active players to me. We all know by now that we lost Derrick Rose to yet another knee injury (torn medial meniscus) that forced him to be listed as inactive. And we lost Jimmy Butler to a turf toe sprain causing major setbacks with the teams’ progress. And if that’s not enough Mike James recently went down from sprained MCL according to the Chicago Tribune and is expected to mis 1-2 weeks.

Right now it looks like Tom Thibodeau has to go into full rotation mode and try to balance the minutes the best way he can. For starters he needs to play the rookies more, (they’re young, they can handle it)! Hello is Erik Murphy in the house?! Come on Thibs, it’s high time we give him a chance to prove his worth for this Bulls team! We don’t have much options right now anyways, let’s not be picky.

When it comes to the Eastern Conference and how much of a roller coaster it is Taj Gibson knows the ups and downs and how fast you can get back to the top:

We have a great coach,” Taj Gibson said. “And we have guys who understand that when it’s going bad you have to work your way out of it. You can’t sit back and whine about it. The East has been up and down. You get two straight wins and you’ll be in third or fourth place.

Through this season so far there’s only 1 positive aspect I can see for the Bulls; the Eastern Conference is terrible! Really terrible! If the Bulls were out in the Western Conference they would at the bottom. So let’s just be grateful for that if not anything else this season.
