Suffice it to say that Derrick Rose had a rough start to the season. Through three games, he managed a player efficiency rating, or PER, of just 1.76. Perhaps coincidentally, the Chicago Bulls went just 1-2 in those three games.
However, after two mostly solid games against the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz, Rose’s PER has ballooned all the way up to 5.39! That number places him 61st among point guards and puts him ahead of such luminaries as Alexy Shved, Jamaal Tinsley and DJ Augustin and one spot behind former teammate John Lucas III, according to ESPN’s database.
Look out, LeBron! Derrick Rose is coming for you!
