It’s a minor thing, and not something that matters all that much in the context of the season, but the Chicago Bulls picked up team options for the 2014-15 season on Jimmy Butler and Marquis Teague, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
After some lingering doubt, Chicago has signed Marquis Teague to his third-year option for the 2014-15 season, league source tells Yahoo.

Butler’s option always was going to be picked up after he broke out last season and snagged a spot in the starting five. But there was a lot of speculation that Teague’s wouldn’t be picked up and/or that he would be traded. As a major proponent of Marquis Teague, and a very vocal one, I’m extremely glad to see him get another year. Hopefully management won’t decide to trade him anyway and hopefully Tom Thibodeau might actually let him see the court on occasion, but this is something and it makes me feel better.
