The Chicago Bulls announced today that Joakim Noah will not be participating in any basketball activity for the next week due to his lingering groin issues. He’ll be reevaluated next week, but will not play — preseason or regular season — until he is 100 percent.

Noah made his preseason debut on Wednesday after missing the first three preseason games, and looked mostly all right, scoring 2 points to go with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks. But the Bulls are being extra cautious with injuries this preseason and so Noah will remain on the bench for the time being.

The Bulls take on the Indiana Pacers tonight at 7 p.m. central time on NBATV. Jimmy Butler is a game-time decision.
