Report: Chicago Bulls will face the Miami Heat on Opening Night

When last the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat saw each other, the battered Bulls were walking off the floor and into the offseason while the Heat were en route to their second consecutive championship. The good news is Chicago won’t have to wait very long to get a chance for revenge.

According to a report by the Miami Sun-Sentinel, the current draft of the NBA schedule features the Bulls and Heat squaring off in Miami on Opening Night, Tuesday, October 29. The Bulls, with Derrick Rose in uniform this time, rather than in a suit — Luol Deng should be there too — will watch the Heat get their rings and then do their best to replicate the butt-kicking they handed out on Opening Night 2007, after the Heat got their rings.

In short, go ahead and mark your calendars, Bulls fans. This is absolutely appointment television.

This time, it’s war.

(Sorry, that was melodramatic. But still. #TheReturn in Miami? That’s drama right there.)
