Chicago Bulls Injury Update: Richard Hamilton Out Against Brooklyn Nets

The Chicago Bulls continue to deal with injuries to basically everyone in the starting lineup, as Tom Thibodeau announced that Richard Hamilton will miss tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets.

Nobody is really surprised, of course. Hamilton missed about a month with plantar fasciitis — the same injury that caused Joakim Noah to miss all of a week, somehow — back in November/December, but he’s been remarkably healthy since then. Given his injury problems the last several years, it was only a matter of time before he got hurt again. Marco Belinelli will start in his place, and will probably do a fine job. Jimmy Butler and Daequan Cook will back him up, just as they did Thursday, and that will be that.

In other injury news, there is still no official word on Derrick Rose’s return. It will probably be within the next month, but  that’s just speculation. Joakim Noah appears to be more or less fine at this point, and Kirk Hinrich will likely play again tonight.
