Kirk Hinrich will miss his second consecutive game with an elbow injury as the Chicago Bulls take on the Charlotte Bobcats. Hinrich reaggravated the injury against the New Orleans Hornets on Feb. 19.
As vocal as I’ve been in my criticism of Hinrich this season, it’s clear things just function more smoothly with Hinrich around. In their last 15 games, the Bulls are 6-1 when Hinrich plays and just 2-6 when he doesn’t. The Bulls have posted their two lowest point totals this year in games Hinrich has not played: 69 points against the Boston Celtics before the All-Star Break and 67 last night against the Miami Heat.
Hopefully Hinrich will be back soon, since the Bulls apparently need him to function. That felt really weird to type.
