As we get closer and closer to the highly anticipated return of Derrick Rose; updates on his well being and how close he is to actually playing have become frequent and will only become more consistent here on out.

From traveling with the team – Rose made his second straight road trip joining the Bulls in New-York where they will face the Knicks on Friday night. – To taking up predictable contact in team practices – he started out with dummies and  he gradually moved on to taking minimal contact with his teammates, Derrick has yet to encounter a full team practice; however he is getting really close and word on the street is that he has started dunking again. Clearly you don’t have to wander too far  to find out just how the youngest MVP in league history is doing.

Of course Tom Thibodeau and the Bulls organization continues to preach patience and safety. According to Coach Thibodeau Rose is right where he needs to be; everything from his limited practices to him traveling with the team is right on schedule. There is a possibility that Rose will be joining his teammates on the bench tonight against the Knicks; his spirits are high, he was seen participating in parts of the teams shoot around today and he seems to have that “I’m so ready” attitude. With Rose on the bench for the first time since that dreadful day of April 28, 2012 there’s no telling what his much desired presence could do for his team as they face their Eastern Conference rival New-York Knicks tonight at the Garden!
