The Bulls started off slow and sluggish in the first half at the Palace tonight, the Piston’s were up to a 17 point lead, the Bulls were not fighting back or running Tom Thibodeau’s defense up until mid second quarter and the Bulls cut it to a five point defecit at half time. Second half the Bulls turned it around offensively and defensively.

Tonight was another one of those slow starts – (how did we pull this out?)  kind of win, it scares me when the Bulls do this against nobody teams the pistons are 6-15 and they play way below .500 basketball. The Bulls shouldn’t always have to struggle to set the tempo in games like this.

Our guys managed to pull out a nail biter 108-104. Too close for comfort but at this point a win is a win, after all we are still geling with our new additions. Marco Belinelli made his third Bulls start tonight he put up 16 points, grabbed 3 rebounds and contributed 3 assists. Marco is doing great in his transition from bench player to current starting shooting guard for Rip Hamilton, whom is still day to day, banged up from a foot and shoulder injury.

Something else to note: our Benchmob 2.0 was seriously slacking tonight the entire bench combined for just nine points. Thibs did not put Radmanovic, Mohammed, or rookie Marquis Teague in the game, I personally would like to see Teague get some minutes in games like this one tonight because he can really read a defense and once he gets the feel for the game; the boy can shoot. Thibs should take a chance on Teague – the point guard from the reigning National Champs Kentucky Wildcats team.

Carlos Boozer played big tonight he was 12-19 inside the arc, he attempted zero three pointers, but he managed 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and he scored 24 buckets. Luol Deng was a marquee play maker tonight he hosted a block party of sorts shutting down two Detroit possesions, he collected 5 rebounds, contributed 6 assists and put up 16 points of his own. Also Captain Kirk was running the offense with 13 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds. Hinrich was 4-5 from the field tonight

Where do I even begin with Joakim Noah? Seriously this guy is on a mission this year he put on an absolute clinic at the palace his performance was impeccable, if anybody deserves a game ball of the year it would be our very own Jono, he put up a monster sized double double- 30 points and grabbed up 23 rebounds he also had 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks of his own. Joakim Noah is playing his best season of his career thus far, I cannot wait to see what else he does.

Tomorrow night the Bulls are at home against the hot New York Knicks. Carmelo Anthony is doubtful to start, however coming off of a 20 point victory over the Miam Heat thursday night that’s all the confidence the Knicks need. The Bulls must start off early and control the overrall tempo. A win over the knicks tomorrow would do wonders for the teams confidence moving forward, these next five games are going to be very tough, but with Joakim Noah on our side the sky is the limit!
