The Bulls face off against the Bucks tomorrow to close a not-so-easy road trip. If they can carry that weight on the way to winning a tug of war tonight, they might convince fans that they don’t need the help of Derrick Rose too early. Regardless of what happens, the team should be happy that they’ll be able to eat at home soon.
Here it is:
The game against the Los Angeles Clippers might not have gone so well for our beloved Chicago Bulls as they were a little bit here, there and everywhere. While fans may be asking the question, why don’t we do it (well) on the road my advice would be: don’t let it bring you down. At least Luol Deng, Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah got to meet a man who needs no introductions: the legend, Sir Paul McCartney. Upon seeing him, Joakim Noah proclaimed “I’ve just seen a face!”. When later asked about the situation, he said “with a little help from my friends, I figured out who it was.” Chances are, he also got high with a little help from his friends. (nailed it!)
The picture posted at the top of this piece was posted on Luol Deng’s instagram sometime yesterday.
At the mercy of readers, I’m going completely off-base here, because it’s not often that Pippen Ain’t Easy covers a former member of the Beatles. In fact, this never happened before. Here’s a compilation of my favourite Paul McCartney songs. What does this have to do with the Bulls? Probably nothing. Enjoy, in no order, because that would just be insane:
With the Beatles:
Hey Jude
Blackbird
Eleanor Rigby
She’s Leaving Home
Yesterday
For No One
Penny Lane
Everything on Abbey Road, let’s face it.
Helter Skelter
Let It Be
In My Life (I’m pretending this was Paul’s work because I can’t keep it off a Beatles list)
Here, There And Everywhere
Solo:
Here Today
Fine Line
Too Many People
Flaming Pie
Junk
Anyway
Tug Of War
Smile Away
Maybe I’m Amazed
Every Night
Little Willow
With the Wings:
Jet!
Mull of Kinture
London Town
Helen Wheels
Wanderlust
Band On The Run
Love Is Strange
Silly Love Songs
Live And Let Die
By the way, if anyone knows where Jimmy Butler got that shirt from, feel free to share.
