The Chicago Bulls have finalized their Summer League Roster and rookie Marquis Teague headlines the cast along with Jimmy Butler and Leon Powe.
We are about a week away from the Bulls participating in the NBA’s Summer League in Las Vegas and they have finalized their rosters for the occasion. For those Bulls fans miffed that there have been no moves by the Bulls, look to the Summer League roster as a place the Bulls will scout for potential low priced, Bargain in a Box style players.
There are a few things to take away from the Summer League. First of all, rookie point guard Marquis Teague will get his first quasi-look at NBA action. He’s essentially the C.J. Watson of the future but for those looking to get a glimpse of what things down the road may look like, watching Teague and seeing what he’s capable of right off the bat should be interesting.

For those looking to see Jimmy Butler in action, watch the Summer League for the same exact reason. Both Teague and Butler are replacements for the exiting C.J. Watson and Ronnie Brewer.
Leon Powe headlines the rest of the cast for the Bulls Summer League squad. Powe spent some time with Tom Thibodeau in Boston and was rumored to have drawn interest from the Bulls this past season in their efforts to find another big. He very well could join the roster if he impresses in the Summer League and would come at a bargain — double win for Gar Forman and company.
A familiar name for Chicago basketball fans is Demetri McCamey who played ball at St. Joseph H.S. and turned out to be a sleeper hit at point guard for the Illini. Other players with NBA tread on their proverbial tires include Malcolm Thomas who spent time with the San Antonio Spurs and Edwin Ubiles who clocked in for the Wizards.
Notable players working out with the team but not making an appearance on the roster include Johnny Flynn, Marcus banks, Chicago native Jake Anderson, BYU swingman Charles Abouo and Kashif Watson, younger brother of C.J. Watson.
Chicago opens Summer League action July 17 in Las Vegas.
