Joakim Noah Badly Injures Ankle, Leaves Game

Joakim Noah has left the game and is questionable to return after tweaking his ankle earlier 3rd quarter.

Noah was in obvious and severe pain and had to be helped to the locker room. His ankle was evaluated and he eventually returned to the game but he had to then immediately exit after not being able to put his full weight on it.

The ankle in question was already weak but Noah told Bulls trainers he had it under control. If Noah is unable to return he may have to miss Sunday’s game but has a full day to recover.

This is yet another injury to a Bulls team that can no longer extend any deeper into it’s depth. For the time being, Omer Asik can fill the center roll as he did so last season when Joakim Noah missed 10 weeks after having hand surgery in Decemeber. Asik split time with Kurt Thomas and Taj Gibson at center but without Thomas, Asik will see an increase in minutes if Noah is out.
