CHICAGO — Just about everybody that is anybody in the NBA is ditching the states to go overseas in order to play some form of professional basketball.
Chicago Bulls MVP Derrick Rose can now be counted among those seriously considering heading to Europe.
“Yes, I am taking into consideration that I might move overseas,” Rose said. “I don’t know where. There are a lot of great places overseas. I haven’t really had time to get the details of every place.”
Two sources close to Rose have confirmed that the budding superstar has received at least one concrete offer from an unidentified foreign team. This comes as no surprise to anyone who mildly followed the NBA last season when Rose exploded into form and ran away with the MVP trophy whilst taking the Bulls a series away from the NBA Finals.
“”It’s kind of weird knowing that I don’t have a job right now… I am taking into consideration that I might move overseas”

Rose stated that although he is considering taking his talents overseas, it would only be if the NBA regular season got gashed in terms of games.
“It’s kind of weird knowing that I don’t have a job right now,” Rose said. “I haven’t felt this way from high school. It’s all positive, though. I’m hoping the season starts no matter when. Hopefully, I don’t have to go overseas.”
Ever the guy who says all the right things and truly means them, Rose is most upset about not being able to connect and contact those inside the Bulls organization; he’s coming to grip with essentially being forcibly divorced from his basketball family. He still manages to keep a calm cool about himself within the whole situation.
“I do miss talking to the people at the Bulls organization, my coaching staff. I miss that. But it’s not stressful or anything. I’m not panicking. I’m taking my time.”
Rose and the sources close to him reiterate that the MVP will only pursue the overseas offers seriously if games in the regular season are cancelled. The sad fact that this is becoming more and more a possibility everyday is a scary thought for Bulls fans who would essentially be left in the dust should their heart and soul bolt to Europe.
