Despite the lockout, the NBA is doing it’s best to get the fans they so desperately need into an NBA mindset. With that, they have released the 2011-12 schedule to the masses to try and get us excited for something we may have to wait a long, long time to see.
We will get into the massive coverage the Bulls will get in further schedule breakdowns, but for the general basketball fan in all of us, here are some key games to look forward to.
Opening Night — The Bulls get the spotlight right away to kick off the new season traveling to Dallas to face off against Dirk and the Mavericks. This game is interesting to two reasons: 1) It features the Bulls in an absolute marquee spot on TNT and 2)We will get a glimpse of the NBA Finals that could have been had the Bulls beat the Heat. The Other game of the night is a hoot too as it feature the Los Angeles lakers and the up and up Oklahoma City Thunder, or as I call them, the Bulls of the West.
Christmas Day — The NBA is making a tradition of Christmas basketball and the Bulls were the opening act last year facing the Knicks. Now they get another marquee spot as they are the night cap game against the Lakers. The other games of the day include Celtics vs. Knicks and Heat vs. Mavericks in an NBA Finals rematch.
