NBDL Playoffs: Second Round: Game 2 Recap: Iowa Energy vs. Tulsa 66ers, Other News

The Iowa Energy defeated the Tulsa 66ers 107-94 and are now headed to the NBDL Finals. They Energy were led by Scott VanderMeer who scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Curtis Stinson also came up big for the Energy, scoring 19 and dishing out 13 assists.

The Energy will either take on the Vipers or the Bighorns, depending on who wins the series.

Robert Vanden: 22 points, 7 rebounds

In other news, Curtis Stinson was named the NBDL’s MVP for the 2010-2011 season.

“It’s a real honor to be named MVP of the D-League,” Stinson said. “There are a lot of great players in this league, and to receive this award is one of the highlights of my career. I am truly thankful to have great teammates and coaches, and I appreciate all they have done to help me earn this recognition.”

Also, Othyus Jeffers was named to All-Defensive First Team.
