Iowa’s Stinson And Blakely Named Co-Performers of the Week

“Marqus Blakely and Curtis Stinson of the Iowa Energy were today named NBA Development League Co-Performers of the Week for games played during the week of March 14. Blakely and Stinson led the Energy to a 2-0 record on the week, helping Iowa clinch the Eastern Conference title. Blakely, a 6-5, 225-pound forward out of Vermont who was in training camp with the Los Angeles Clippers, averaged 29.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. Stinson, a 6-3, 215-pound guard out of Iowa State who played in the 2010 NBA Summer League with the Orlando Magic and Toronto Raptors, averaged 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 12.5 assists and 2.0 steals.”

Congrats to both players! Blakely scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds last night, while Stinson scored 23 points and dished out 15 assists. I did not write a Game Recap.

This weekend was the NBA DL tryouts and word is that Pippen’s son was there. I have heard that he is a monster guard, but I haven’t heard anything about him at the tryouts. what’s up?
