ZH: What is the D-League life like?

MB: D-League life is good; it gives you a lot of exposure to NBA scouts. At the same time it is a grind because of travel schedule. Hopefully it will pay off with a call up.

ZH: Who’s the toughest player you have played against in the D-League?

MB: The toughest player I played against was actually on my team, James Johnson.

ZH: What was the transition from Bakersfield to Iowa like?

MB: Besides the weather the transition was quick and painless I was able to move out here quickly and adapt fast.

ZH: Do you still talk with any of your Bakersfield teammates?

MB: Yeah, I talk to a bunch of the guys and try to keep up with how the team is doing.

ZH: Which NBA player would you compare your game to?

MB: I don’t like to compare my game to anybody else’s. I try to work on my weaknesses as well as my strengths in order to make me a better and more versatile player.

ZH: What’s the strongest part of your game? And what needs work?

MB: My strongest point would be my versatility on defense and my athletic ability on both ends of the floor. Right now I am trying to strengthen my outside game so I can be more effective on the perimeter. For example shooting the 3 ball consistently.

ZH: What/Who is playing on your iPod before a game?

MB: Lil Wayne, TI, Drake, and Rick Ross.

ZH: Most memorable game so far this season?

MB: My first game playing for the Iowa Energy.

ZH: Favorite players growing up? Favorite team?

MB: New York Knicks and Patrick Ewing.

ZH: Would you say you’re the D-Leagues’ best Dunker?

MB: I would say the best game dunker because of how many I average per game.
