AUTHOR: | IN: Bulls | COMMENTS: None Yet

3. Thibodeau’s Silent Leadership Every team has a leader but not many have multiple leaders. The Bulls are that fortunate. Derrick Rose is the famous pick as he is globally known, but the Bulls have leaders at every level. Chief among these leaders is head coach Tom Thibodeau. He has been the Bulls shadow leader, a silent guardian presiding over D-Rose’s budding superstar leading ability. It has been Thibodeau who has placed players in the game who have produced well for Chicago. It has been Thibodeau who has utilized bench players such as Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, Taj Gibson and [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: D-League | COMMENTS: None Yet

Courtney Sims’ mission is to prove that he has what it takes to play in the NBA and use the most of every opportunity he gets to prove that. On Saturday night, he got that opportunity. He used it well. Sims, a 6’11″ center for the Iowa Enegry, was named the MVP of the 2011 NBA Development League All-Star Game, as he helped guide the East to a 115-108 win over the West. The graduate of Michigan gathered 25 points on 10 of 13 shooting and five rebounds in just under 20 minutes. Sims was a  key in helping the [...]

Second Half Preview: 5 Things That Need To Happen

AUTHOR: | IN: Bulls | COMMENTS: None Yet

2. Continued Strong Defensive Play Although Derrick Rose is responsible for being the spark plug in the Bulls first half push, a lot of credit has to be given to the defense and the strong play they have been exhibiting. Joakim Noah was the Bulls rebounding machine, however the defense has been managing quite well without him. That’s not to say he will be gladly welcomed back with wide open arms, but it’s proof the Bulls can operate without him temporarily rather than completely implode as was originally feared. Guys like Kurt Thomas, Omer Asik and Taj Gibson filled in [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: Bulls | COMMENTS: None Yet

With Derrick Rose getting ready to suit up for the All-Star Game, it’s time to look back and reflect on the first half of the Bulls season. It’s easy this year because it’s fun to reminisce on good times. The Bulls have had their share and then some of good times so far. Derrick Rose’s All-Star selection is proof enough. He is the one of the main reasons the Bulls are on fire going into the break. He is arguably the leading candidate for MVP thus far with analysts from all over praising the young superstar on his leadership skills. [...]

Former Bulls Rodman In California Confusion

AUTHOR: | IN: Ex-Bulls | COMMENTS: None Yet

LOS ANGELES – Dennis Rodman made his mark by being as outrageous as humanly (or perhaps inhumanly accordingto Men In Black) possible, but he is turning the tables on California. According to a tax lien filed in May of last year, Rodman owes the state of California $42,497. Rodman and his manager are calling this outrageous. Peggy King, Rodman’s business manager, says there has to be a misunderstanding somewhere in all this. According to King the state of California sent Rodman a “$42,000 or $43,000″ tax refund. “If you owed the money, you’d never get a check from them … [...]

Bulls, Rose Spurn Spurs

AUTHOR: | IN: Gameday | COMMENTS: None Yet

CHICAGO – The Bulls own two things the Spurs desire: one is the winningest record in NBA history for a single season (see The Quest for 70) and the other is a victory Thursday night. They also have a third thing just about any team in the NBA would love to have at this point: Derrick Rose. D-Rose stayed in All-Star form exploding for a career-high 42 points to lead the Bulls to a ten point, 109-99 victory over the Spurs. Rose’s dynamite performance brought on another hail of “MVP!” chants erupting throughout the United Center, especially after Rose’s 21 [...]
