The Iowa Energy cruised to a 114-94 victory against the Sioux Falls Skyforce Thursday morning. The game was held at 10:30 am for the “Energy’s Education Celebration.” Where thousands of students from area schools came to the game. The Energy led by Othyus Jeffers, Michael Haynes, and Marqus Blakely each recorded double-doubles and were key players in the Energy’s 26th win of the season.
The Energy started out on a 13-2 run, thanks to Haynes as he made 3 three pointers. By the end of the first quarter the score had reached 31-16 with the Energy in control. The Skyforce were not giving up though and brought the game within seven points at the half.
They came out even stronger in the 3rd quarter and even brought the game within one point but the closed the quarter on a 17-4 point run.
The Energy even had a lead as big as 28 points in the 4th quarter.
They’re now 1st in the Eastern Conference with a 1.0 game lead.
