Second Half Preview: 5 Things That Need To Happen

The All-Star Game has come and gone and the time has come to refocus on the home stretch of the season. There are a lot of things that can happen to the Bulls from completely imploding and missing the playoffs entirely to winning an NBA Title. Now we all would love the latter but there is an equation to winning a championship and Chicago has a very particular one. It has worked thus far but five things need to continue happening in order for the Bulls to bring a title back to Chicago. We will break down these five things over the next few days

1. D-Rose Dominance

Perhaps the main reason the Bulls are so en fuego is Derrick Rose an his absolute dominance on the court. He was rewarded for his first half freak show with a trip to the All-Star game and with massive critical acclaim. The Bulls are reaping the benefits with spectacular 24-4 record at the United Center and a 38-16 record overall. But being as Rose is the key to all this, the fact is he needs to keep it up. Although he shows no signs at all of slowing down, anything can happen. An injury such as the one that has sidelined Joakim Noah would be devastating to the Bulls hopes of winning a championship. Even a minor one that sidelines Rose at the wrong moments can be potentially annoying for Bulls fans. But as it stands now Rose is set to be even hotter the second half than he was the first half and that’s exactly what the Bulls need.
