Flip Murray has been fun to watch since he became a Bull. I think he has a high basketball IQ and I would love to see him remain on the Bulls going into next year. This shot has nothing to do with that, but it’s pretty darn spectacular. Check it:

W 98-88 Vinny Del Negro was ejected from this game, arguing balls and strikes with a pretty large lead. The Bulls didn’t “need” him though, winning by 10 on the back of a Derrick Rose masterpiece. Rose had 27 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds on 12-22 shooting. Murray had 18 and Hinrich had 17, while Brad Miller contributed a double-double.
L 74-103 You know its bad when you are down 63-33 at halftime. I’m not going to lie, I turned it off way before that. Unfortunately it was being beamed into houses all over the country, as it was broadcast nationally [...]

This team is just wacky. The Bulls get owned by the Heat in a 103-74 laugher. Vinny (Who else?) had the quote of the night: “Our weak side was not active.” He was referring to the Bulls defense, or lack thereof, because the weak side was out and about all over this game. I’ve never seen a Bulls team with so many ups and downs throughout one season. I have to wonder if they would be more stable with a different coach. I guess we will find that out next year.
To the notable…

L 97-104 The injuries were mounting and coupled with Hinrich’s suspension the Bulls were extremely short-handed. You know you’re in trouble when you field a starting lineup of Murray, Pargo, Law, Gibson and Miller. Murray had 25 and Warrick added 22, but the Bulls were sorely overmatched. They put forth a decent effort with what they had, but they were overwhelmed by a talented Grizzlies squad.
L 106-113 The best way to stop an 8-game losing is generally not going to be visiting a red-hot Dallas Mavericks team. This night proved no different. Although the Bulls made a second-half run, they [...]
Let’s be honest. The Bulls making the playoffs really isn’t important. And after going 0 for March so far, I’d be fine with them losing out the rest of the month. At this point I prefer them not to make the postseason. Here’s why:
Health. Deng, Rose and Noah are all injured. Deng and Rose in particular have trouble staying healthy and Noah simply needs the rest. Let them all rest. Don’t rush them back. Why exacerbate things? So you can play 5 or 6 games in the first round?
Draft Pick. The Bucks have the option of swapping first round picks [...]
For players such as the Bulls’ Joe Alexander, perhaps stat sheets should now include a seconds column. Way to go, Vinny!

L 108-132 A matchup billed as the meeting of two great point guards did not fail in that regard. Unfortunately Williams was able to outduel Rose, and the rest of the Jazz were able to murder the rest of the Bulls. Although Rose had 24 points, 4 rebound and 13 assists, it wasn’t even close to Deron’s 28 point 17 assist explosion. Deng got banged up in this game, hurting his calf and missing the 4th quarter.
L 82-111 The ship continues to sink, and having to face a vastly superior team like the Magic is not going to help. Oh [...]
Kirk Hinrich loses his cool and gets 2 technicals, which gets him ejected from the game against the Miami Heat last night. I love the call on the first video here: “Kirk Hinrich, what has gotten into you?”. The second video is the NBA highlight package. Check out the big night by James Johnson, who had his best game of the season.
Bulls still lost 108-95 and I’d say we should start hoping for another nice lottery pick. The Milwaukee/Salmons trade complicates that, but we could still get a top 3 if the Bulls ball pops up there.

This Dwight Howard stuff is getting old. I don’t think either play was overly-aggressive, but I don’t want my point guard leaving the game every time they play the Magic.
