You’ll rack your brain trying to figure out this year’s Bulls team. They start out a road trip with terrible losses to the Warriors and Clippers. You want to scream. So then they go out and get quality road wins against the Suns, Rockets, Spurs and Thunder. That’s 4 straight wins, all on the road against teams that are over .500.
Maybe it’s just best to sit back and watch Derrick Rose.
Rose went for 26 points last night, sinking 13 of 23 from the floor. The Bulls beat the Thunder 96-86 and get back to .500 on the season. To the [...]

Look out, NBA. Derrick Rose’s jumper is much-improved and it’s ripping nets in a city near you. That early-season ankle issue seems like years ago and Rose is attacking the basket as well as any point guard in the league. But now he has added a pull-up jumper to his repertoire. Which leads to the age-old question: How ya want it? Rose can now slay you with multiple weapons.
Rose is becoming a killer in the Dwyane Wade mold. He’s shooting the J with precision and is knocking down pull-up jumpers, leaving defenders twisted ankles. If LeBron and Wade are watching [...]
Chicago Bulls Weekly Roundup
(2-2)
L 97-114 A bunch of D-Leaguers beat the Bulls, literally. The Warriors had three d-league call-ups get major minutes and ran the Bulls out of the building. Even though it was on the road, this was a terrible loss. Even though Salmons had 25 points and Deng added 20, the Bulls shot 36.5% overall and are hoping this one is forgotten soon.
L 97-104 This one was billed as a rebounding duel between the veteran Marcus Camby and the up-and-coming Joakim Noah. Great. Anyways the rest of us watched the game and unfortunately the Bulls were unable to make up some [...]
Derrick Rose throwing it down and posterizing Goran Dragic of the Suns. Not only does our point guard have one of the hottest selling jerseys in the NBA, he can get up and jam it on you — with 2 hands.
Derrick Rose has the 4th hottest jersey in the NBA. Rose had the 11th ranked jersey last season and is ahead DWade, KG, CP3 and even Shaq.
“I’m speechless. That’s an honor just to be in that company,” Rose said. “I can’t wait to get on the phone and tell my mom. I know she’ll be happy for me. My marketing team at WMG has been great. My family has been doing a good job marketing me, making sure everything is all positive. It’s unbelievable.”

Bulls Lose to the D-Leaguers
The Bulls played the Warriors on MLK day, but it wasn’t exactly an NBA game. The Warriors had 3 D-Leaguers playing and only went 8 deep. They dressed 2 players that were on 10-day contracts. And so of course, the Bulls went ahead and lost the game.
The Bulls shot just 36.5% from the floor against such defensive stalwarts like Stephen Curry and Corey Maggette. They had their shots blocked 11 times. This team is spectacularly psycho.
In January they have beaten Orlando, Minnesota, Detroit, Boston and Washington. Yet they have lost to Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Milwaukee and Golden State.
The “Highlights”:
Scottie Pippen made his share of money during his days as an NBA player, as well as an endorser in commercials. But in his latest role Pip says “Players in my day didn’t make as much as they do today.” Maybe so, but Pip sure is hitting the big time in TV– animated comedy! Here Pip sings along with displaced “Family Guy” neighbor Cleveland and his son on “The Cleveland Show“.

Derrick Rose may have had some leadership and ankle issues earlier in the season, but he’s looking as dominant as ever recently. This kid is a leader, and he led the Bulls in a laugher against the simply brutal Pistons. Thoughts of Sacramento began to creep in, but we got to enjoy a serious beatdown by the Bulls.
Not much to dislike in this game. My favorite play (highlights below) was Tyrus Thomas’ jam off a steal. Clearly the defender should have just let him dunk the ball. But that defender was Ben Gordon. For reasons only known to him, Gordon [...]
Scottie Pippen: Original Beatle?
Apparently, Scottie not only made music on the court, but also in the recording studio.
