Chicago Bulls Weekly Roundup

Games (0-2) L 98-122 The Blazers big men dominated the Bulls.  Aldridge and Oden combined for 48 points and put a beating down on Noah, Miller and Gibson.  The game wasn’t really close for most of the way, although a dominant 4th quarter by Portland put it away for good.  Deng and Salmons both shot well, but it wasn’t enough for a Bulls team that got out-rebounded 47-27. L 86-105 There’s nothing quite like losing on national television.  It’s always fun to hear Charles do his Bulls-hating act.  Once again, our big men could not contain the Jazz big men, [...]

Rasheed Wallace Goes Full Racial In Rant

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Hey, when the league’s all-time leader in technical fouls speaks, you better listen up. You don’t get close to 300 career techs by talking nonsense. Right? After the Celts beat the Raptors, Sheed went off on LeBron and players he refers to as the “NBA Without Borders” kids. “They’ve got to know that he’s a [expletive] flopper. That’s all Turkododo do. Flopping shouldn’t get you nowhere. He acts like I shot him. That’s not basketball, man. That’s not defense. That’s garbage, what it is. I’m glad I don’t have too much of it left.”Let the Golden Child [LeBron] do that, [...]

Bulls Fans Not Too Thankful Right Now

AUTHOR: | IN: Derrick Rose | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

If you stayed up all the way through Thanksgiving’s Bulls-Jazz game, you are a true fan. Or you lost the remote and were too lazy to get up and find it. It was just brutal. The Bulls lost their 4th straight and now sit with a 6-8 record. Sure, it’s the annual circus trip, but at some point you need to start winning some of these games. Bulls fans are not thankful that: The Bulls are the 4th worst scoring team in the NBA. They average 91 per game. Below them are Charlotte, New Jersey and Minnesota. The Bulls are [...]

Yes, the scoreboard showed that the Blazers faced the Bulls. But the Bulls threw down some dunks on Big Greg Oden.

Games (1-2) W 101-87 This was the first time the Bulls scored more than 100 points in a game this season and it was also the first time John Salmons actually looked decent.  Coincidence? I don’t think so.  Salmons had 23 points on 9/18 shooting, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. L 93-108 The Lakers were just a superior team.  With the return of Pau, the gap in talent between the two teams could not have been more obvious.  The Bulls struggled valiantly but couldn’t match up to the superior talent.  After promising a more aggressive performance, Rose did go 9/20 [...]

Joakim Noah Tells Truths, Lakers Beat Bulls

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Well at least the Bulls got one win on the annual circus trip. Because playing the Lakers last night did not go well, a circus unto itself. The Bulls were blownout by the Lakers 108-93. The Bulls trailed 53-42 at the half, then came out for the third as if they gobbled down some donuts in the locker room during the break. The Lakers busted out a 10-2 run and it was basically game over. Perhaps Joakim Noah not only praised the Lakers but indicted his own coaches with this statement: “Their length is definitely their biggest strength. To me, [...]

Chicago Bulls Weekly Roundup

Games (1-2) L 89-90 The Bulls played a gritty game in which Noah put up a 12 and 21 and Rose finally came alive a bit with 21 points.  The real story of this game was the game-winner Brad Miller hit, which was called off after 10 minutes of reviewing the tape.  Bulls got robbed in this one. L 89-99 You know its bad when you only score 11 points in the 4th quarter.  After playing pretty well through the first 2.5 periods, the Bulls had a 6 minute scoreless drought in the fourth that ended up being the difference.  [...]

Bulls Lose. Then Win. Then Lose.

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Wacky night of basketball on the West side of Chicago. The crazy video after these quick nuggets. The Good: Derrick Rose had 22 points, 5 assists with no turnovers. Not going to the basket as much as we’d like to see but getting it done. Love the little runner/leaner he’s scoring. Joakim Noah is out of his mind. Noah was Rodman-like in both his desire and execution of cleaning the glass. He had 12 points, 21 boards and 2 blocks. Luol Deng filled up the scoresheet with 21 points, 6 boards, 5 assists and 2 blocks. The Bad: Jannero Pargo [...]

Games (3-0) W 83-81 The Luol Deng Show starring Luol Deng.  He finished with his best game of the last million years, posting 24 points and 20 rebounds.  Although the Bulls never should have been down by 18 to the lowly Bucks, they battled back and stole a win. W 86-85 Derrick Rose finally notched his first double-double with 14 points and 11 assists against the Cavs in a game that came down to the wire.  The Bulls actually managed to take care of the basketball in this one, only turning over the ball 7 times.  Tyrus hurt himself in [...]

Bulls Handle LeBron and the Cavs

AUTHOR: | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Bulls went into LeBron’s house and wiped their feet on the rug. They barely shot 40% and they were outrebounded, but they took exceptional care of the ball, turning it over just 6 times. They escaped with a victory, won their first road game and improved to 3-2. The Good: Derrick Rose had 14 points and 11 assists with only 2 turnovers. If you didn’t know he had a sore ankle you wouldn’t know. Ya dig? Taj Gibson had 11 points, 7 boards, a steal and a block. He played big minutes with Tyrus limited by his illness. Luol [...]
