Before You Get All Bulls Silly

What a great way to start the season. A win at home over a tough opponent with some nice contributions from both the starters and the bench. But let’s not all silly. The Spurs were on the 2nd game of a back to back, and they are also notoriously slow starters. And the Bulls were at home. So enjoy it — just don’t exaggerate it.

The Good:

• DRose played 33 minutes and had 7 assists to just one turnover
• Luol Deng looked great. Played almost 38 minutes with 9 boards and 17 points on 8-13 shooting
• Miller and Hinrich were fantastic off the bench, combining for 23 points and 11 boards

The Bad:

• Taj Gibson was active and played well but couldn’t find his shot
• John Salmons couldn’t hit open looks and shot just 3-15
• Tyrus still exhibited some poor shot selection
• No James Johnson

So the Bulls are 1-0 and take on the hated Celtics tonight!
